I was so careful not to get back into MMORPG games, having seen the sick amount of time they consume, the consequences both personal and professional from living two thirds of your life as an MMO avatar. But I screwed up. I thought to myself “I fancy a bit of a spaceship combat game, do I play X3 Reunion on me own, with nobody to talk to, or do I play EVE online?” I chose EVE, and now it’s got me.
Even your humble narrator has to pay the bills, and the latest effort in this regard has just been posted up on Bit-Tech. And here’s the link.

With Counter-Strike Source firmly established as the competitive team game of choice across the world it would seem like a somewhat odd time for the developers to monkey around with the core of the game. So needless to say, with changes proposed to the weapons pricing system, it’s time to have a word.

Just a short note to point out that, as predicted from the Beta, Company of Heroes is all that. The system requirements are perhaps too tough for it to mount a serious challenge as a replacement for Starcraft or WC3 as the definitive matchplay RTS game, even my substanitally fat PC struggles in the top settings, but it’s clearly a classic. Although it is available on-line to download from any torrent site worthy of the name buying the game is advised in this case, the team have really delivered a quality product and besides you’ll need a CD-Key for online play.
So I figure since there’s a loooong break in the Hovis ranting I thought I’d post randomly about why that’s happened. That’s right kids, I’m on holiday in the Big Apple, and there’s not a video game in sight.
